My lesson would be based for pre-k. This lesson would help my students to learn more about land and water. The students will learn what kinds of animals live on the land and in the water. In the pictures I put a couple of animals as starters to where the animals live. As a class we could make a list of what animals live where. The children could paint, draw, or write the names of the animals that live in the water or on the land.

What a cute idea! I think it's great to incorporate animals and such into your lesson. Children, especially the younger ones, love animals and playing with them. By showing the variety of them in the picture, in addition to extending the activity to art, allows students to look at this concept in a variety of manners. :)
Kelly,
I think that this idea is great! It gives your students a chance to explore their own minds and they get to come up with their own ideas. It also shows examples of toy animals that they may be able to find in their own home. I think this is great because they are probably use to seeing real pictures of animals but this way they now get to see some that they may find in their house! I think you did an awesome job!
This is a very creative and cute lesson idea! I think the children would have a blast placing the toy animals in the area that they belong, and would really be interested in it. This is a wonderful hands on activity where they can really think for themselves!
I really enjoyed your lesson plan. I love doing activities that involve animals because the younger children are always so interested in the outdoors. I like the fact that the children will be in charge of placing the animals near a picture/item that resembles the environment in which they live in. Great idea.
Kelly, This was an awesome idea. Children love animals, so any activity you can create involving animals they will love. This activity gives the students a chance to get involved and tell you what they already know. They love to please the teacher, so they will be shouting out all kinds of animals. This could be a really fun activity!
Kelly,
I think your lesson is a great way to teach younger students about animals! I like how the students can design their own land and water, and see how creative they get. I also liked how this lesson was hands on for the students who learn more visually. I think you could use this in the preschool classroom and it would be a big hit, the students would love it! Good job Kelly!
