Five Little Monkeys

This video is perfect to sing with your preschools, I think that having a visual aide when singing some songs gets the children to pay more attention and participate. This song would get any child wanting to sing and move. Having this option would be great when students get to sing in class rather then just singing to a CD.

Now that i have made it half way, i feel that the pressure on the school work is still. So nothing has really changed there. I do tihnk that its good to have technology in the classroom, but the school should not forget how things used to be done. The most important lesson that i learned so far is how to work/bring spreadsheet into the classroom and make a lesson out of it.

Internet Use in Elementary Classroom

Having the internet in the classroom is very beneficial for the students and the teacher. I also think that using text books are just as good, i think think that the internet is a bonus. Internet I feel is there to teach the students as well but more on a personal level for the students. For example, little bobbie can use the interent to expand his findings were little joe is using the internet for a different reason. He is using the interent as a get to know process because he at a different level then Bobbie.
Pos and Cons
Pos- expand research, help students with typing skills, and get the children learnig about the internet in a safe way.
cons- there will be children in the classroom that are going to need extra help which is just fine but how to you help those children as well as teach the others, because computers are not easy to teach.

All Kindergartners need to know

This article was very interesting, when reading I notice that I kept relating the changes to Ohio. Ohio has very high standards. I feel that Ohio standards are going to be looked at among all. I thought at first I was reading Ohio’s new changes yet I was not. A lot of what the state mandated in Illinois is mandated in Ohio.
I think its great idea that they are expecting the children to know more. Honesty I sometimes think that the states are pushing children to fair and they want them to grow up too fast. Not all children learn as fast and that will change how much a teacher can get done. I like the idea of being able to have them writing letters they should, but the state needs to know that some children can not go as quickly as others on some concepts.
I really like the specific goals for the children it is just going to take longer for some children then others. Children need tons of examples and teachers should always be learning so see how they can challenge their students or adapted for other students.
